We believe that free speech is fundamental to any modern and progressive society.  One’s ability to speak out without the fear of oppression, physical harm, or imprisonment is more important than many realize in today’s climate, especially politically and socially.   Defending and accommodating the rights of the individual do not mean we associate, agree with, or disagree with their viewpoints.

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.

-George Orwell

I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an ass of yourself.

-Oscar Wilde

LiberTees Community Guidelines

Do not create false pages or collect money for false projects. LiberTees can only be used to fund real, creative activity.

Hate Speech

Hate speech is protected speech. LiberTees exists in reaction to politically motivated no-platforming at sites like TeeSpring. Always consider your local, state, and national laws, but the site stands for free speech absolutism and will protect creators’ interests against sovereign and corporate threats. Do not abuse this protection.

Illegal Activity

LiberTees reserves the right to review and remove accounts that directly or primarily promote illegal activity. We side with the interests of speakers, but as an organization or individual be careful about your representations. For example, we believe it is protected speech and in the public interest to learn about drug or explosives sales and manufacturing. But a page merely funding the sale or manufacture of illegal drugs or explosives will likely not be funded.

Who Can’t Use LiberTees

After creating a LiberTees page, any creator caught or convicted of making credible violent threats, committing violent crimes or fraud, or performing illegal activities like those aforementioned will be banned from the site.

Members of organized crime, known terrorist organizations, OFAC debarred parties or similarly sanctioned US persons and foreign nationals may not collect funds through LiberTees. If you have been convicted of sex crimes, fraud or money laundering you are also unable to use our service.

Guideline Enforcement

Creators who violate these community guidelines may be banned from using LiberTees. If you see a page on the site that you feel violates these guidelines, please send us an email. Please also realize that LiberTees is an advanced community, and while you may not agree with someone’s activity, it may not be a violation of these guidelines.
